We help speed up slow WordPress websites
WordPress is awesome. Out of the box, it’s extremely robust, very secure, and very easy to learn. Not to mention, there’s thousands of developers that make all sorts of sweet plugins and themes that integrate with the world’s most popular CMS. Themes and plugins to help make websites and company brands look awesome on the web. In addition, there are plenty of inexpensive hosting solutions that make publishing a WordPress website with a vanity URL easy and cheap for as little as $50/year or less.
It’s very common that business owners or entry level “marketing gurus” attempt to save a few bucks and try to do it all themselves. They find some pretty neat looking FREE themes from the WordPress repository or even purchase some from premium market places. This is where the problems arise.
Inexperienced people slowdown WordPress
Just because a WordPress plugin or theme is premium; it doesn’t mean it’s fast or even coded well. Next thing you know, “marketing gurus” are installing hundreds of plugins and messing around with custom themes that are NO longer supported by their developers. Entry level and even amateur WordPress users will get “plugin happy” and install an overwhelming amount of plugins. These plugins will interfere with other plugins as well as NOT play nice with the poorly coded themes. This is the quickest way to SLOW down a WordPress website.
Cheap (shared) hosting will slow WordPress Down
Now we must mention the cheap hosting problem. Cheap hosting will load WordPress websites at sometimes acceptable speeds and other times at unacceptable speeds. This is NOT the hosting companies fault! This is due to being hosted in a throttled shared environment. If an individual is hosting a website in a shared environment with other popular websites, you can definitely count that there will be slow page loading times on high traffic days. If it wasn’t throttled, it would most likely crash the server. Running and maintaining a web sever is very expensive and hosting companies offer these affordable solutions for businesses just getting started. These solutions are offered to help spread the cost among multiple parties. It’s not unusual for a web hosting company stick over a 1000 websites on one shared environment. The drawback is, slow server processing time with there is high bandwidth.
The WORST combination – Cheap shared hosting plus an inexperienced WordPress user.
The worst combination of WordPress performance triggers is an inexperienced WordPress user and shared hosting….(To be continued)
